Patient Reminders:
- You will receive these forms via email. If you have any trouble logging in or accessing them, please call the ReVibe Centre front desk at 709-220-6455 and our receptionist will assist you. Completing these forms ahead of time is one of the most important steps before seeing any of our counsellors.
- It is an essential part of the counselling process. This is outlined in detail within the intake and consent form. Please read it thoroughly when signing and checking it off.
- Our counsellors sometimes work in the evening. In these cases, your counsellor will meet you at the front door at your appointment time.
FAQs
Do I need to complete any forms before counselling?
Yes. All intake and consent forms must be filled out before your first appointment. These forms are sent to you by email. No printing or scanning necessary. If you have any trouble logging in or accessing the forms, please call our front desk at 709-220-6455 and our receptionist will guide you through the process.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. Counselling is a private and confidential process. The limits to confidentiality (such as safety concerns, abuse disclosures, or legal requirements) are clearly outlined in the intake and consent form. Please read this carefully when signing, as it explains how your information is kept secure and when counsellors may need to share information to protect you or others.
What are my rights as a counselling client?
You have the right to participate at your own pace and comfort level. You may say “yes,” “no,” “pause,” or “stop” at any time. You also have the right to review your file, end therapy whenever you choose, and be involved in setting the focus of your sessions. Your participation is always voluntary.
What if I see my counsellor in public?
To protect your privacy, your counsellor will not acknowledge you in public. However, you are free to approach them or share your counselling experience with others if you wish.
Can I do sessions online or by phone?
Yes. We offer both in-person and secure online counselling through Jane App. Phone sessions are also available. Please make sure you’re in a private, quiet space where you can be fully present. Counselling cannot be provided if you are driving, or distracted.
What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?
We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. You can cancel through your client portal, or by phone (709) 220-6455
How is my personal information stored?
We use a secure, encrypted practice management system (Jane App) to store client records, billing information, and session notes. Files are held securely for a minimum of 10 years after your last session, in compliance with Canadian privacy regulations.
Can I end counselling whenever I want?
Yes. You may choose to end counselling at any time. If possible, we encourage you to discuss this decision with your counsellor so you can review progress and plan next steps together.
Is direct billing available?
Direct billing is available for clients seeing a social worker. For Canadian Certified Counsellors, direct billing is not available, but you can submit receipts to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Our counselling intern does not offer direct billing, payment is due by e-transfer or cash before your session begins. Please note that our receptionist cannot confirm your insurance coverage, so we encourage you to check with your insurance provider before booking.
How do I pay for my session?
Payment is due before your counselling session. Your counsellor will help you process payment at the front desk before your session begins.
